#7: Kodak Brownie Hawkeye

contemplation

This Kodak Brownie Hawkeye likes to contemplate life while looking out of a window on a rainy day. He also enjoys playing hide-and-go-seek, and going on long strolls. His body is of dark, chiseled and durable Bakelite, topped with a plastic handle. He boasts a waist-level and oversized brilliant viewfinder, and was originally sold for $5.50. His younger brother, the flash model, was born just one year later, in 1950, and sold for $7. The 620 film that he requires is no longer commercially available, so 120 film needs to be respooled onto a smaller 620 spool so that he can be taken out on the town. Don’t let that discourage you though- he’s quite a thoughtful and jovial fellow!
