Effective Strategies for Jumpstarting Close Looking

The Association of Academic Museums and Galleries (AAMG) Annual Conference was held at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS on June 12-15, 2023. Along with Sydney Simon, I co-led a workshop in the galleries of the Spencer Museum of Art on “Effective Strategies for Jumpstarting Close Looking.” It was an interactive and discussion-based session about ideas for high-impact, low-barrier-to-entry activities to engage students in close-looking and critical thinking with works of art.
