What Makes a Historical Object “Real”?


My talk in the Fall 2025 semester was titled “What Makes a Historical Object ‘Real’?” I presented some of my research related to copies and the authenticity of museum objects, like plaster casts and ancient Roman marble replicas of Greek bronze sculptures.
